Flix Fam, it is a new week & we’re back with the latest from within the OmniFlix Network’s ecosystem covering topics around Engineering, Design, Media & Community.

FLIX Drop — an update
We’re working internally and have collected the snapshot data pertaining to FLIX Drop. We have taken the final snapshot on 22nd (between 9–9:30am UTC). With this, we have completed our 3rd snapshot for various networks we are validating in.
- Snapshot 1 was taken on 1st January, 2022
- Snapshot 2 was taken right before the announcement on 19th January, 2022
- Snapshot 3 was taken on 22nd for staking and LP-specific activities, January, 2022 between 9am UTC and 9:30am UTC
Why 3 snapshots?
- To be able to add a bonus to those that staked with OmniFlix before the official announcement
- To be able to identify & reduce the impact of accounts that might have taken advantage of the simplicity of staking within the Cosmos ecosystem
- To be able to identify other parameters to incentivize beyond the usual activity of holding, staking, etc.
There will NOT be any more information this week or next regarding the FLIX Drop or the exact eligibility criteria, but we will keep the community posted in further weeks via community updates & announcement articles. Once the eligibility criteria is decided, a website/webpage will be shared with the community to to check your eligibility.
NO page has been released to check eligibility and if there is any website that you encounter (unless through official sources), please consider it to be a scam. Always verify your URL and we ONLY host apps on/as a sub-domain of OmniFlix.
Our technology has updated quite a lot in the last 1 week. If you are part of the Telegram / Discord groups, you’re in for consistent surprises.

1) Engineering
- Worked on planning the core protocol around the oNFT & the marketplace module.
- Worked on app layer updates to OmniFlix inSync to deliver 20% faster load times (even on busy days!). We thank our community of node providers for the Juno implementation of OmniFlix inSync.
- Worked on updating OmniFlix Studio, Market and OmniFlix TV (for accessing interactive videos).
- We have also initiated talks with teams that will be building on the oNFT standard going forward. We’re excited for what Flix Fam will build in the FlixVerse!
Ann. for Node Hosts
Validators are being shortlisted for the mainnet based on the below criteria and node hosts that applied to validate on the mainnet can expect communication this week.
- node management
- community involvement
- experience with other networks
- interest & experience running other types of nodes i.e. Relayers, Storage, etc.
- type of contribution
- working with the team across other networks
- interacting with the community when there’s no testnet, etc.
- Since we will be starting with 75 or lower validators, we might not be able to select everyone that participated in the prev. testnets but will have to classify based on the above factors and involvement within the wider Cosmos/POS blockchain ecosystem.
- We will keep the organizations/individuals that applied informed via Discord/Telegram.

2) Design & Media
- We have had some interesting collateral shared by a community member, @AnimatorFromOuterSpace who worked on a series of tutorial videos for OmniFlix inSync on Juno.
Below is a video that you find a neat video to delegate to any validator — Stakecito in this case.
- We appreciate these simple to use guides as references and nominate AnimatorFromOuterSpace for Juno Hacks because of the ability demonstrated to create a simple walk-through video right from start to end. Watch all the videos on the YouTube channel.
- Similar tutorials are being worked on by the Flix Crew for OmniFlix’s products i.e. Studio, Market & other products being developed.

- We have had the Rizon Network fork a version of the OmniFix inSync UI and implement it for their users to stake tokens and participate in the governance of the network.

Focus for the current week
All geared up to cover activities from engineering, design & community!
- Blockchain (mainnet) — The focus is primarily to work on the planning and execution of all that’s required for the launch of the mainnet.
- Applications —Updates & development of newer modules is underway and will be available for testing by the community and later for launch on the mainnet.
- Design — We’re planning and execution of the products on the mainnet. This week’s focus is to iron out all existing issues from the testnet in prep. for the launch on mainnet.
- Media — Walk-through videos are being produced this week while the other collateral is being planned for in prep. of the launch of the mainnet.
